Booking Conditions
The following Booking Conditions together with the General Information contained on this website form the basis of your contract. Please read them carefully. All bookings are made subject to these booking conditions.
The property rental
will be between the
Holidaymaker (the Hirer)
and the owner of the
property (the Owner) for
which the booking is
made. Lemon Tree Rentals (the Agent) act only as the booking agent on behalf of the Owner. The booking will be made subject to these conditions of hire and the Agents will enter into a legally binding Contract on the issue, on behalf of the Owners on a confirmation of booking. Once a booking has been made, a contract will exist. Your contract with us will be governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times.
The contract is binding on you and all members of your party including children. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are aware of and accept the whole of our contract and the obligations contained in it. Your arrangements are effective from the date the contract is formed until the last member of the party has completed their holiday.
- Making your Booking
Bookings can be made by completing the online booking form and following the on-screen instructions.
Once we have received your booking deposit, we will, confirm your stay by email. This email will be sent to the party leader. Please check this email carefully as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information which appears on the confirmation or any other document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later. We regret we cannot accept any liability if we are not notified of any inaccuracies in any document within 5 working days of our sending it out.
Number of Persons
Only those persons whose name appears on the Booking Form may use the property. The number of persons (adults and children) must not exceed the number of sleeping places indicated. The substitution of persons during the rental period is forbidden unless previously agreed
Arrivals
On arrival you must present your Booking Voucher (sent to you on payment of the final balance) as well as your passport or identity card.
- Payment
In order to confirm your stay, a deposit of equal to 30% (or otherwise stated) of the total rental price must be paid at the time of booking. Alternatively, if the booking is made within 56 days of the start date, full payment is required. We reserve the right to refuse any booking. Bookings are not transferable to another party.
If you have not paid in full and on time we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you. In this case the cancellation charges set out below will be payable
The booking is confirmed only after payment of the deposit is received and the booking has been approved.
When you pay for your holiday by credit/debit card, Lemon Tree Rentals
. charges a 3% processing fee.

- Security Deposit
A security deposit will be required on arrival at your property, in cash (unless otherwise stated in the rental conditions for the property).
On some properties we collect your security deposit at time of full payment on these occasions your security deposit will be returned within 10 days of the end of your holiday ,subject to the following
The cost of any damage to the property or to any items in and/or at the property caused or any service charges incurred by you or any member of your party will be deducted from the security deposit at the end of your stay. If no deductions are required your security deposit will be refunded in full to youon your departure from the property. If the security deposit is not sufficient to cover any damage caused or service charges incurred by you, you will be responsible for paying any additional monies required immediately.
- The cost of your stay
Lemon Tree Rentals
. reserve the right to increase or decrease the prices of accommodation. The price of your stay will be confirmed at the time of booking. Lemon Tree Rentals
. reserve the right to correct errors in advertised prices. We will do so as soon as we become aware of the error.
Please note, changes and errors occasionally occur. You must check the price of your stay at the time of booking.
- Changes by You
Should you wish to make any changes to your confirmed booking, you must notify us by email as soon as possible. Whilst we will endeavour to assist, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet any such requests. Where we can, an amendment fee may be payable together with any costs incurred by ourselves.
- Cancellations by You
You must give notice to cancel in writing. The effective date of cancellation will be the date we receive your written instruction. In this event a cancellation charge will become payable by you to cover our reasonable costs. In addition to retaining your deposit and any amendment charges you have paid, you must pay the charges shown below which may be recoverable by you under your travel insurance policy, depending on its terms:

- Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance. Please read your policy details carefully. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs.
- Changes and Cancellation by Us
Occasionally, Lemon Tree Rentals
. have to make changes to and correct errors on our website descriptions and other details both before and after bookings have been confirmed. Whilst Lemon Tree Rentals
. always endeavours to avoid changes and cancellations, we reserve the right to do so.
If Lemon Tree Rentals
. has to make a significant change to or cancel your booking, Lemon Tree Rentals
. will inform you as soon as possible. Lemon Tree Rentals
. will endeavour to offer you an alternative should a significant change or cancellation occurs.
- Force Majeure
We regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of "force majeure". In these Booking Conditions, "force majeure" means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) (.i.e the owner) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control. In these circumstances, you will not be entitled to compensation.The Owner has taken care to ensure that the property and itβs contents are safe and in good order. Neither the Owners nor the Agents can accept liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever other than that caused by the negligence of the Agents, the Owner or their employees (whilst acting in the course of their employment) or agents. As agents for the Owner the Agents cannot accept any liability for any acts or omissions of the owner, his employees or agents, or any shortcomings or defects with or in the property as the properties are controlled solely by the owner.
- Our Liability to You
Lemon Tree Rentals
. provide accommodation on behalf of private owners, who will make all efforts possible to provide your accommodation with reasonable skill and care. Lemon Tree Rentals
. do not accept responsibility for, but not limited to, any death, personal injury, illness, loss, damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever.
In addition, Lemon Tree Rentals
. will not be responsible where you do not enjoy your stay or suffer any problems. Lemon Tree Rentals
. acts only as a supplier for marketing and reservation purposes and will help as possible in solving issues between the user and the accommodation provider, but will not be considered liable for them.
If you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday, this must be brought to the attention of Lemon Tree Rentals
. immediately and within 12 hours of arrival if you fail to report any complaint to Lemon Tree Rentals
. within this time Lemon Tree Rentals
. will not consider themselves to be liable for those complaints. Should Lemon Tree Rentals
. be unable to resolve the matter, details of the complaint must be notified to Lemon Tree Rentals
. in writing within 28 days of the end of your holiday. Notification of any complaints received outside this period cannot be considered. If you do not tell us about your complaint promptly, it may be difficult to investigate your complaint thoroughly.
- Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance. Please read your policy details carefully. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs. You can get a quote from World First Travel Insurance who may be able to offer suitable cover.
